You're not going to find any free ASP.Net tools.

You'd be very lucky if you did find a free one, as ASP.Net is not an open source language like PHP.

Be willing to pay for any asp.net applications. |

Yes some people just assume that because asp.net is not a "free" technology, that you can't find free tools like this.

Perhaps he meant a free "application" though, or a free script.

You dont see many of those around compared to PHP. |

ASP.NET is absolutely free, but the Windows operating system is paid. But when you consider that you can lease Windows 2003 Server for around $20 per month, it doesn't sound expensive anymore . _________________ Peter

I remember a couple of years back I was looking at Windows servers and I couldn't find anything for under $60/month that had database access.

Now you can get it for $20/month like you said, it's great |

The price depends on what edition the Windows 2003 Server is, but the cheapest one (web edition) can be leased for about $20 per month. _________________ Peter

You understand that he was talking about the Windows license monthly fees alone, not the cost of the actual server (hardware) lease, right?

				This thread is confusing me!

When you guys talk about pricing, are you talking about hardware or software lease prices, or both? |
